Magnifier & Screen Reader feature set

SuperNova Magnifier & Screen Reader is ideal for people with moderate or severe vision impairment and for organisations accommodating people who are partially sighted and blind.

Clients using this edition can range from those with moderate vision impairment through to those with more severe sight loss.

Individuals will tend to seek out SuperNova Magnifier & Screen Reader when they begin to require the additional support that comes from using a screen reader. For example, confirmation when a checkbox is selected, or a Ribbon item is pressed.

Individuals with progressive sight loss may also decide to use SuperNova Magnifier & Screen Reader because it enables them to familiarise themselves with the features prior to relying on them when their sight loss demands it.

For organisations, SuperNova Magnifier & Screen Reader provides a total solution because it provides market leading magnification for those employees who require just magnification, through to a rich featured screen reader to assist employees who are severely sight impaired or blind.

SuperNova Magnifier & Screen Reader includes the same key features available with SuperNova Magnifier & Speech plus the following additional key features:

• Text style announcements.
• Verbosity control.
• Over 30 Speak keys to read elements of the screen.
• Key press announcements.
• Navigate webpages with the keyboard using Dolphin Cursor. Clients can also jump to over 25 elements on a webpage using Quick Navigation Keys and view a list of elements using the Item Finder.
• Refreshable Braille display support offering over 35 translation tables and Computer and Literary Braille input.

Tip: SuperNova provides ready-made profiles that enable clients to quickly tailor the amount of speech feedback generated by SuperNova without having to make multiple individual setting changes. Available Profiles include Magnifier, Magnifier & Speech with mouse, Magnifier & Speech with keyboard, Screen Reader, and Screen Reader with visual effects.
